This is exactly the same scam with a different sin to seek absolution for. Pay the people who invented the sin you've committed to absolve you of that sin. Nothing changes, the same amounts of nastiness, that may or may not be actually doing anything, *cough* weather cycles *cough* solar activity *cough* only now, there's a market created to trade in "get out of green guilt jail free" cards.
