This just in from the Department of Sanitation
Okay, there's been a bit of a flap involving a few thousand wee Old Glories the attendants of the Democratic National Convention allegedly threw away. Did they do it? Did they not do it? Who cares. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if they did, but that's not really the point. Once again, the leftists have gotten their collective (no pun... okay... pun) panties in a bunch over people "questioning their patriotism".
I'm sorry. Screw you.
For decades leftists have been accusing anyone to the right or them, let alone a Republican, of being racist, being sexist, being homophobic, being fascistic, of being a Nazi. Now, nevermind that "Nazi" is short for the National Socialist Party, or that it has more in common with the modern day Democratic Party than not. Be that as it may. The leftists sling these labels around with impunity yet they get all defensive when someone points out that they may be less than patriotic. Maybe if the leftists didn't reflexively "blame America first", as Jeane Kirkpatrick would put it, folks wouldn't question their patriotism. Maybe if they weren't so willing to play the role of the "useful idiot", as Vladimir Lenin would call them, folks wouldn't question their patriotism.
But that's exactly what they do. Me, I don't really give a rip if that upsets them or not. A fig is a fig, a spade is a spade (and before some pinhead goes off, look up the etymology of that phrase) and leftists are prone to being unpatriotic. Nah, forget the "are prone to". Nowadays you're not allowed membership in the ranks of the Left unless you foster a healthy distrust/hatred of/animosity towards the United States.
Don't like it?
Does it offend you that I called you unpatriotic?
Tough crap.
