Obama "Brand" at VMAs

In what can only be described as the leftists in full-fledged freak out mode, British "comedian" Russell Brand continues the Palin pile-on while hosting MTV's Video Music Awards.

I'm left wondering who the hell is Russell Brand and when did MTV start showing music videos again?

Is anyone surprised by this? Heck, I remember way (waaay) back in the day when a certain sax-playing Arkansas Governor being rammed down our throats was running for the highest office in the land. Tabatha Soren, one of MTV's first... uhm... reporters (I know, I know. I thought the 'M' stood for music too.) was interviewing a slew of young kids. She was sticking the mic under the noses of one kid after another when who questioned why MTV wasn't taking the Clinton/Gore ticket to task over Senator Gore's and his wife's involvement in trying to censor music. Most of which the channel itself was playing. This was back when MTV played *gasp* music videos. Without missing a beat, and forever etching the event in my mind, she removed the mic from under the nose of this troublemaker and stuck it under the nose of the next kid in line as if the question had never been asked.

MTV's in the tank for any leftist you'd care to offer up. They always have been and more than likely, always will be.
